One small annoyance is that I had to register twice, once for the site and once for the forum. I can understand why this is the case but I thought it might put some people off.

Totally understand what you mean, registering is an annoyance for me too.

We have a Forum program that runs within the site (Fireboard, more bells and whistles, no additional log-in), but our thinking was to accept the tradeoff a second log-in for the benefits of users using a Forum program already in use at:
www.squashsite.co.uk
www.us-squash.org
that is familar, comfortable, user friendly.

Hope this adresses your comments without dodging?

The problem I'm facing is that I have to login each time I visit the forum, even though I have clicked on the automatic login option. I don't face this problem on other similar sites. Question

I will look into the auto-login, but honestly it will not be until Sat that I can tackle this issue, I'm encountering it too, I understand, its an irritant for me too, but to be honest have to prioritize
