You know what I wonder?

1. What's up with Boston not supporting the event and buying tickets? The general squash fan in that ciy should give their head a shake for not buying tickets especially since Nimick (a local Im told) had US Open taken away from him and he concocted the Player Cup and staged it in their city. Maybe he should make the TOC the finale to the Players Cup, then lets see what the people in Boston think. Maybe you dont appreciate something until its gone.

2. Maybe its too early, weekend and all, but I sure hope websites and associations get behind and promote the hell out of the free webstreaming. Hate to say it, but I wonder if it was an English event and an English company providing the streaming if people would get behind this more? I guess we will see the true character of people and organizations in the days and weeks ahead. Do they get behind and try and let as many people know as possible because its good for the game or will politics and selfinterest win the day.

What do you think?

I think I don't even know what 'Boston' is or what you're talking about...and therein lies the problem. And I visit squash sites often...

Boston is a city. He's talking about the people not supporting their own event. As for 2 I only really go to here, squashsite and squashlive and their all doing a good job.. well maybe not squashsite.

I remember seeing a pic of some top guys playing before a lot of empty seats... guess that was 'Boston'. How much was a ticket? I remember at a tournament last year, the organiser tried to charge $20 at the very last minute... almost right before the match started, nobody paid of course. It was Graham ryding and Delierre. Is that reasonable, would those seats in Boston have been $20 canadian or way more, like a $100??

People often get confused in paying for what someone sells for and paying for what something's worth. I know for that match I would only pay 15 dollars US.

Are you serious? $1600 US a ticket!!! Shocked Shocked

That's just.... insane. Bad planning too. Seems like a huge gamble to charge that much and risk empty seats... and look what happened. Empty seats. Should of at least had club dudes on standby to fill the seats at least. Get on the phone as soon as its obvious noone is buying the tickets... better to get people in the seats then leave empty seats. Looks bad. Looks like its the best players in the world and no one cares enough to come see. Does damage for Olympic consideration, event sponsorship, etc.
