About Briars retirement... why do you say that he either jumped or was pushed? Is it possible that he just wanted to retire? I think its pretty terrible to have that article on the front page, basing it on comments from an anonymous source. Pretty trashy... tabloid style of squash360. _________________ Do work son, do work! Shake and bake! |

Sensationalism is on the other end of the scale.
When PSA players complain about how things are run, the glass floor, loss of players voting ballots, etc, where does it all lead, and now end hopefully!!
Proof!, when the PSA was run by 2 lawyers, Gawain and Jack Herrick, I would stay anonymous also. |

Some truth in that statement, but at the end of the day I would surmise the content of the anon. post to be the nearest to the mark. especially in these days of nauseating political correctness and spin. |

Yes, its always best to rely on the anonymous source's information. Good one. Everytime an anonymous source is quoted its always the truth. Everytime. Always. Keep surmising Viper. _________________ Do work son, do work! Shake and bake! |

Holy Cow Batman!!!
Squash360 is neither the Wall Street Journal, nor the National Enquirer.
Am finding it curious that a headline that seems to me asks a rhetorical question that Joe Squash Public would ask him/herself under the circumstances has attracted such strong negative responses.
But dialogue, passion, engagement is good.
In your local newspaper are not strong articles written in the sport pages concerning coaches, general managers, league administrators, etc ...
I hope you will consider that at Squash360 we:
- posed the headline QUESTION jumped or pushed, made no editorial or personal claim, opinion or disclosure either way
- published the comments of others (should these voices, opinions be stifled/repressed by squash media?)
- believe in providing a range of views, content, opinions ... not just what is comfortable, politically correct, safe
- know the author of the remarks that we attributed to anonymous. We know their extensive background, accomplishments and contributions in our sport (hence deciding to add their perspectives), but have committed to not disclose their identity
- are working to obtain a range of comment, responses from varied sources and parties |

To the non believers!
why didn't Gawain do the right thing and resign at the AGM in Berumda or give any sign prior?
Years back there was a players vote to rid Gawain of his powers. He wouldn't budge with all the support agianst him!
Lost ballots after Bermuda says the PSA office, then found, Jack demoted and now Gawain is leaving. I'm not saying Gawain was pushed or jumped, just a lot of coincidences that have lead to his decision. This is the best moment for the PSA in some time. Has anyone said Gawain will be deeply missed and a great loss to PSA and the squash community ?? I'm guessing this guy will be anonymous also!! |
